Job Position Assistant Manager / Senior Executive (SID)
Job Description
  • Assist with development and implementation of strategic action plans, under the key focus areas of data management and governance, digital infrastructure provisioning, competency building, and strengthening processes and partnership, to achieve a data-driven NEA
  • Work with stakeholder departments in NEA and external Government or non-Government entities, and leverage on Whole-of-Government (WOG) resources
  • Collaborate with departments in NEA to scope use cases that mine insights from data to inform policy decisions, improve operational efficiency and service delivery
  • Work with in-house analytics team or collaborating with research institutes, industry partners and public agency partners, in the development, deployment and maintenance of the analytics solutions
  • Implement corporate-wide activities to drive the use of analytics, including machine learning and artificial intelligence
  • Conduct scans of analytics use cases that are relevant to the work in NEA and share with the community of Analytics practitioners and enthusiasts in NEA
  • Maintain an inventory of analytics projects and applications in NEA
  • Track and report the Corporate and WOG Key Performance Indicators on Analytics
Pre-requisites
  • Degree with no working experience required
  • Experience in developing or managing data analytics or data science application would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office application and analytical tools
  • Knowledge in analytics, data science, machine learning, analytical tools (such as SPSS, R, Python)
  • Strong understanding of key concepts, techniques and considerations in the use of analytics, data science and/or machine learning
  • Knowledge in the application of computational principles, methods and systems for extracting and mining value from data

Job Description
  • Work closely within the HR Business Partner team to provide efficient and effective administrative support for various HR functions, and partner line departments to achieve their objectives
  • Contribute efforts to NEA’s Strategic Workforce Plan to build a competent and resilient workforce
  • Coordinate and support interviews, events, and meetings
  • Process HR-related functions e.g. recruitment and postings
  • Attend to HR-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Review and streamline work processes
  • Assist with ad hoc projects when they arise

Job Position Operations Support Officer
Job Description
  • Work in the Memorial Facilities and Planning Department which oversees the development, operation and maintenance of Government cemeteries, crematoria and columbaria
  • Station at Mandai Crematorium & Columbarium and play a key role in providing after-death care service
  • Transport caskets to designated areas before and after cremation ceremonies
  • Operate cremators in a safe, proper and efficient manner
  • Organise cremated remains for proper sorting and storage
  • Carry out cleaning and maintenance duties at the service and viewing halls as well as cremation areas
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisor
Pre-requisites
  • Primary or Secondary or ‘O’ level with no experience required

Job Position Senior Executive (Statistics)
Job Description
  • Work at the Environmental Health Institute, where research conducted in a multidisciplinary environment is translated into evidence-based public health programmes and policies
  • Design and conduct analytical research studies, which include statistical analysis and mathematical modelling
  • Work with local and international research groups in the surveillance and risk assessment of vector-borne diseases and environmental epidemiology. These studies are expected to improve our understanding of the environmental determinants of population health and contribute to the formulation of strategies for public health programmes and policies
  • Work in a high performance culture, play a pivotal role within the organization and fulfill expectations to communicate research findings to a wider audience
Pre-requisites
  • Masters or Degree with at least 2 years working experience in statistics/mathematical modelling
